I love Ethan for all the things no one else gets to see: his innate kindness, his reckless spontaneity, his unwavering determination to use his brilliance for good. I love the way he looks at me, the way he touches me. The way he makes me forget the wreckage of my past and the twisted fear that still lives inside me.

But sometimes it terrifies me how much I crave him, how much I need him just to breathe. I always thought it would be my past that ruined us, but there’s a darkness in Ethan I never dreamed existed. Can we survive as his secrets surface—threatening to unravel us both?

Review & Rating
After reading Ruined a few months ago, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Addicted. Then the glorious day came when I found it on NetGalley (yes, I'd been stalking the shelves daily!) and popped it on my e-reader. Wolff did not disappoint with this second book in the series. Readers get everything they need to feel satisfied and fulfilled... much like the heroine in the deliciously hot sex scenes... yum! This couple ranks right up there with other top couples of similar romance. Many have tried to create this electric charge but few have done it so well.

Mini excerpt for GODDESS, AWAKENED:
In starting her life over, Joss had expected some resistance, even some trouble, but not this. The bedroom floor boards trembled beneath her golden-slippered feet. Tendrils of an unseen power curled upward from deep within the ground, tingling through her toes. She paused to steady herself, then continued to put the finishing touches on her costume. The tremors grew into rumbles and their hum seeped beneath her skin. When their tiny wisps twined through her mind, she clenched her hands. Enough. Go away.
Thick as starlight on a clear summer’s eve, sweet as the lavender blossoms she had yet to plant, energy whooshed up through the cracks of the worn wood and out into the October night.
She gripped the bureau until it passed, the vibrations rolling over her in lessening waves. Bubbly, effervescent waves. “Third time tonight, Taz.” Each departure took longer, and more of the essence remained.
When the dog whined, she stroked his fur. “Don’t worry, it won’t hurt you.”
Even if tonight the waves were palpable enough to make her hairs stand on end. Oh, no, please.
Nothing could ruin tonight. More than a party, this event would determine her future. And after three years of grief, she’d never allow anything to trap her in its clutches again.

Full Excerpt
The sting remained with Joss long after Eric fled the inn. Deep-rooted pain emanated from him when he’d first entered, and his palm against her arm sent an electric shock straight to her bones. The poor man. Grief kept him its prisoner. Joss understood how easy it was to fall into that dark trap. The way he’d held her, he sought escape. Comfort.
He awakened deep-seated sensations in her. In the few moments with him, she’d felt more alive than she had in three years.
So strange. Normally, one look allowed her to see the person inside. With Eric Hendricks, her receptivity went into overload. His soul, pent up for years, stirred to life and churned up love, fear, joy, hopelessness, yearning, jumbled and shifting faster than light. He displayed great strength in his firm stance and gentle touch. Beneath a hard veneer of sheer pain, one other trait came through clearly—purity of spirit, and integrity enough for many men.
The arrival of more guests drew Joss to the foyer again. Another matronly witch and an older man wearing a checked flannel shirt, jeans, and boots stepped inside, followed by a princess and a boy in a fabric turtle shell.
Joss recognized the girl as one of the riders whose horse was boarded at the inn’s stable. After greeting them and pointing them toward refreshments, she returned to Lydia. “Sorry about Dr. Hendricks.”
“Don’t apologize. It’s wonderful you have so many guests.” Lydia fingered the flowers in the vase on the table.
One woman stood in the archway to the front room, her bright-eyed glare directed at Joss. Wearing a short white shift adorned with large red hearts, the woman held a wand topped with a glittering red heart.
Confused by the woman’s malevolence, Joss approached and fought to overcome the negativity oozing from her. “Did you try some of the booscotti?”
The woman tilted up her chin. “I’m not hungry, Mrs. Gibson,” came her familiar nasal reply.
Recognition finally hit. Of course—the girl who worked at the diner in town. “Sheree?”
At her curt nod, Joss forced a smile. “I love your costume.”
Sheree’s gaze darted her length. “Likewise.”
What could be her problem? The woman wielded her wand like a weapon, ready to strike. “Please have a drink and make yourself at home.”
“Thank you.” Her narrowed eyes swept the room as if suspecting an ambush, and then she moved stiffly away.
Joss crossed the room to Lydia. “That was weird.”
Lydia whispered, “Be careful of her.”
“Sheree? I can’t imagine why.” Could she be nervous the inn would take away some of the diner’s business? Though Joss would have liked to think it was the cause of her strange behavior, Sheree’s vibes told Joss otherwise. Business had nothing to do with it. The waitress directed her bad juju at Joss personally. Had Joss unintentionally insulted Sheree? She’d barely met the woman.
Leaning close, her aunt spoke sternly, “I warned you to watch for others who seek the power of this place.”
Sheree? Her aunt must be mistaken. The woman’s terrible attitude resulted from something. Maybe an imagined slight? Joss would find a way to put Sheree at ease.
More guests entered, and Joss excused herself. She left Lydia deeply inhaling the air. Joss couldn’t deny the charged atmosphere was one of the reasons she’d bought the place. Not to tap into any lines of power for herself, but maybe to enhance the lavender field she planned. Joss needed the garden to thrive so the inn would as well.

Review
Another Stage Dive romance... and another success! The uniqueness of each man's story makes this series fresh with each new book. The characters' personalities resonate both as secondary characters and when they move into the spotlight as the main characters. Each book is like visiting with old friends. But here's what made Lead so great... I've never read a romance like it. Jimmy and Lena definitely had a sexual chemistry and there was a mild, though palpitating, under-current. Still, the majority of the book was focused on how they grew into people capable of a real relationship. Without the distraction of sex, the relationship came to the forefront. So refreshing. And beautiful. I adored this book.

If you are a Kylie Scott fan, no doubt you've already read the series. What are you waiting for then? Get reading Lead. And if you haven't read the others, you know what I say... start with book one and dive into the Stage Dive series. It'll rock your world!

Excerpt

“Lena, you seen my old black Led Zep shirt?”
“Nope.”
“You sure?” His brows became one dark cranky line. The scratches on his face were healing well, thank goodness. Though it didn’t reduce my desire to throttle his mother on a daily basis.
“Yes. I haven’t seen it.”
Can’t find it anywhere…”
“And this is a surprise, how?” I slipped my hands into my back jean’s pockets. “Jimmy, you own more clothing than Cher, Brittney, and Elvis, put together. Things are bound to go missing.”
“Sure you haven’t seen it?”
“For goodness sake, what do you think, Jimmy? That I stole it to sleep in or something?” I laughed bitterly. Sure as hell, the truth deserved a good mocking. I’d sunk so despicably low.
I hadn’t even meant to steal the stupid thing, but the shirt had been mixed up with my laundry a few days ago. It’d been the first top I laid my hand on after stepping out of the shower, ready to go to bed. Without thought, I’d put it on and it’d been so soft, the scent of him lingering beneath the laundry detergent. Every night since, I’d found myself in it come bedtime. My shame knew no limits. And no, I still hadn’t quit. The words still hadn’t come even close to leaving my mouth.
He frowned. “No.”
“That I have some deep secret longing to feel close to you resulting in my stealing your shirt like some creepy perv?”
“Course I don’t fucking think that,” he replied crankily, reaching up to grip the top of the doorframe. All of his bulging muscles stretched the arms of his white T-shirt in the nicest way. It was all I could do not to start drooling, my heart beat taking up residence somewhere down between my thighs. And who could blame it? Not me. Maybe if I got laid, this would go away and things would return to normal. It’d seemed safer to avoid rubbing up against any men just in case I got carried away and started dating again. This new situation, however, changed everything.
“Well, of course not! That would be crazy.” And wasn’t that the god’s honest truth? Cray-zeee. Lock me up and throw away the key because it wasn’t like I didn’t know better.
“Just can’t figure out where the hell it could be.”
Angels couldn’t have smiled as innocently. They might have tried, but they would have failed, the dirty-mouthed, winged, little liars. “Jimmy, I don’t know where it is. But I’ll look around for it later, okay?”
“Yeah,” he said, and then added as an afterthought, “and stop looking at me weird.”
“I’m not!”

New Release! #REVIEW: His Reverie @MsMonicaMurphy

NEW RELEASE!
His Reverie by Monica Murphy is a sweet Young Adult romance.

BLURB
I knew from the moment I first saw her she was the one. The only girl I could ever want.
The only girl I could ever love.
She is light.
I am darkness.
She is innocent.
I’ve done too much.
She is good.
I am bad.
She is my every dream.
I should be her every nightmare.
We come from different worlds. She’s…perfect. And I’m…
Not.
Somehow she wants me anyway. So we’ll grasp at what we can....more

REVIEW
There were moments when I was interested and then moments when I couldn't keep my attention on the story. I don't know why other than that I thought Nick, the hero, was a fabulously developed character while I found Reverie to be annoying.

There's an incredible dichotomy between these two characters. They are the ultimate opposites. First you have Nick who is fresh out of jail after being wrongfully accused of murder. He's lost his only family member and is now fully responsible for himself. On the other side, you have Reverie who is an innocent girl just spreading her wings to escape her overprotective family. They aren't only rich and she's not only sheltered but her father is a big-time televangelist. So, yeah, it's the ultimate in opposites attract.

The story was unique -every other chapter was a diary entry of Reverie- but I found myself much more interested in Nick's POV. Still as the book ended in a huge cliffhanger, I found myself curious about what what's in store for this couple next.

#REVIEWS Marking Her/ Marking Him @ElenaMReyes

After officially starting a relationship, he is now having trouble managing Maya—a woman who consumes every part of his being and owns his heart. His need to control her and everything around her drives Maya insane, but he has good reason. After all, Janice is still lurking around and she has a vendetta against his Bitty.
In no time Talan wants more, and it’s faster than Maya can handle; things begin to get complicated.

Months of frustration and want take them for a ride neither wanted, but now yearn for. Will they make it through the turbulence? And if so, at what cost?

Marking Her (Marked #1) by Elena M. Reyes

Talan wants to mark Maya—with more than his ink. The owner of a prominent tattoo shop, he’s used to being hit on by easy women. Though “easy” is not a word associated with Maya when she comes in to support her friend. Flirtation ensues, but what will it take to break the painted man.

REVIEW
This series was another good tattoo boy romance... a little bit sexy, a little bit sweet.

Of course, there's the delicious owner of a prominent tattoo shop who's had his fill of women and is ready for "the one" when Maya walks into his shop. Then Talan falls hard and falls fast! Maya doesn't make it simple for Talan. Talan and Maya's relationship progresses steadily throughout the two books. In the middle of it all, there's a bit of suspense and a shitload of alpha-male posturing. The best is the interactions between Talan and Maya as they flirt and discover just how they fit together. Oh yeah, and of course there's the hot sexual tension to keep you fanning yourself.

The fact that Reyes has caught on to her latest venture only adds fuel to the inferno that he is. Good thing for Charley she’s used to multi-tasking and always up for a challenge…especially when that challenge comes in the form of Reyes Farrow.

Review:

It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that the Indulgent Bloggers love them some Darynda Jones....YA or Paranormal, every comedic inch of her series guarantees to delight readers with sassy and snarky heroines, stellar supporting cast and always a healthy dash of sexy anti-heroes.  Sixth Grave on the Edge continues the saga of Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper as she continues her reign as PI extraordinaire and ghost whisperer - helping those departed cross and ferrying messages/righting wrongs of the dead.

Ms. Jones always manages to captivate her readers with story lines that weave the familiar with the fresh - a little mystery, a little intrigue, lots of humor and even a moment or two of nail biting suspense.  Thankfully her cliff hangers are now par for the course and just feed the readers need to have the next installment asap!

Loralei King narrates the story with her fabulous voice range and perfect pitch and timing.   For this reader, she IS Charley Davidson and forever will be.  Most definitely both reader and author are on this blogger's auto-buy list.  Buy Link:   Audible

COVER REVEAL! Hard Knox @NWilliamsBooks

HARD KNOX
A New Series by NYT Bestselling Author Nicole Williams

The Outsider Chronicles, #1
New Adult/Adult Contemporary
Releasing August 12, 2014
Cover designed by Okay Creations

Knox Jagger. The name inspires resent in every male at Sinclair University, want in every female, and contempt in Charlie Chase.

Charlie can be summed up in three words: independent, independent, and independent. To Charlie, Knox epitomizes everything that’s wrong with college males: prolific one-night stands, drunken senseless fights, and a body that hints at prioritizing gym time over study time.

As an up-and-coming writer for Sinclair University’s newspaper, Charlie’s tasked with getting to the bottom of who’s been dropping little white pills into girls’ drinks at parties. In an ocean of All-American boys sporting polo shirts and innocent smiles, Knox is the obvious suspect. As evidence piles up against the bad boy of Sinclair, Charlie becomes more and more certain it isn’t Knox. But when her drink is dosed at a party and she wakes up on Knox’s couch the next morning, Charlie’s left with more questions than answers when it comes to Knox Jagger.

How can Charlie ever hope to uncover the truth behind a guy so closed off he’s become... Hard Knox.

Rock, Rattle & Roll #REVIEW... Lost In Oblivion @CariQuinn @TarynElliottFic

Rock, Rattle and Roll (Lost in Oblivion #1.5) by Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn

Loving in fast forward...
Love on the fast track has been the definition of Harper and Deacon McCoy's relationship. In between studio sessions with Deacon's band, Oblivion, and building a new clientele for Harper's catering business, the newlyweds haven't had time to sleep let alone have a honeymoon.

Deacon convinces Harper that they need a week alone together before her business as well as a new album and tour swallows them whole. Since Texas has always held special meaning for them, they head to Galveston to recharge and remember what it's like to just be a couple.

A beachfront cottage, hours of alone time, and plenty of skin on skin action is just what the rock star ordered. Until the future once again comes much quicker than they expected, threatening to crumble not only their perfect honeymoon but also their brand new marriage.

REVIEW
This novella gives us a quick and flirty peek into Harper and Deacon's life post-matrimonial bliss. After getting settled back into life, they finally sneak away for a beach-side honeymoon. Their week is full of passion, completely rocking the hot sex these two have been known for, but its the emotional connection that the couple is still working on that makes this novella so good. When they hit a potential roadblock, there's definite conflict until they come to realize the gift they've actually been given. It's okay to move in fast forward, even if it freaks you out.

The only trouble I had with the plot was the time sequencing. For example, they'd leave the bar where they'd seen JP and then return a few hours later to be told it was her day off. I don't usually care about that stuff but it stood out a few times. Maybe that's a difficult thing to control with two writers. I don't know but I do know... it wouldn't keep me from reading more about Oblivion.

Out Of Line EXCERPT
I grabbed my stuff and headed toward the store. After a quick conversation with the employee, I came back out and found Finn standing there, his hands in his pockets and his shoulders hunched. I held my hand out and waited for him to take it with bated breath. I don’t know why I did that. We weren’t dating. We weren’t even friends yet. I couldn’t resist. He stared at my hand for a second, muttered something under his breath, and closed his fingers around mine. A shot of electricity skittered up my arm, making me jump slightly. What the heck had that been? His eyes darkened and something weird twisted in my belly in response. Something I was only loosely familiar with. Desire. I was a virgin, but I’d read about sex enough times to recognize the sensation. And I would bet my favorite pair of Converses that he was feeling it, too.“Ready?” he asked, his voice deeper than usual.“So ready,” I said, peeking up at him through my lashes. “I’ve always wanted to ride one, but my dad wouldn’t let me.”He perked up. “Maybe we shouldn’t. You know, if your dad would be mad.”“Oh, please. I’m nineteen.” I tugged him toward a Harley I could only assume was his. “I’ll ride what I want to ride.”He groaned under his breath. “I bet you will.” When we reached the bike, he grabbed the helmet off the handle and slid it over my head. I tried to pull back, not wanting to wear the ugly thing in front of him, but he didn’t let me. “My bike. My rules. You wear the helmet.”“What about you?”“I’ll be fine.” He gently slid the helmet the rest of the way down over my head, making sure to keep my hair out of my eyes as he did so. My heart did a weird little flip flop at the way he watched me, his eyes hot and his lips soft. His touch, gentle as it might seem, held a strength behind it.“How do I look?”“Perfect,” he said lightly. Then he climbed onto the bike and looked over his shoulder at me. That look he gave me was the look that so many books described. Like he was inviting me to fall into his arms and stay there forever. God, I wanted to. His muscles flexed, teasing me with his perfection. “Climb on and hold on as tight as you can.”I swallowed hard and slid on the back of the bike.

Fire from the Heavens Friday

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

In this dazzling and long-awaited conclusion to the acclaimed Mortal Instruments series, Clary and her friends fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary's own brother.

Sebastian Morgenstern is on the move, systematically turning Shadowhunter against Shadowhunter. Bearing the Infernal Cup, he transforms Shadowhunters into creatures out of nightmare, tearing apart families and lovers as the ranks of his Endarkened army swell.

The embattled Shadowhunters withdraw to Idris - but not even the famed demon towers of Alicante can keep Sebastian at bay. And with the Nephilim trapped in Idris, who will guard the world against demons?

When one of the greatest betrayals the Nephilim have ever known is revealed, Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Simon, and Alec must flee - even if their journey takes them deep into the demon realms, where no Shadowhunter has set foot before, and from which no human being has ever returned…

Bravo Cassandra Clare! As painful as it was to know this was the closing book I can say that I was happy with the final product. There was a period of time that I was not a happy camper but in the end I think I can live with it. Everyone has there own thing going on aside from the obvious Nephilim vs Sebastian. There's the Alec and Magnus, Isabelle and Simon, issues with vampires and devastation in the pack. This book is 725 pages and I wiped it out in 4 days so that right there tells you it's a super book. I will give you a bit of advice…if you've read the Infernal Devices things fit together a little better and it made me a little more happy. Looking forward to her new series The Dark Artifices in fall 2015. Here's a hint… Carstairs.

I give this book 5 chocolate dipped strawberries and just so we're clear if Magnus were to start his own line of glitter at Sephora I would be the first in line.

Audiobook #REVIEW: Better When He's Bad @JayCrownover

Could it be that along with her character, this author is better when she's bad? Seriously, this book took Crownover's writing up a notch. Bad has never been so good.

Better When He's Bad (Welcome to the Point #1) by Jay Crownover is the first book in her new series.

Welcome to the Point

There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who’s bad . . . meet Shane Baxter.

Sexy, dark, and dangerous, Bax isn’t just from the wrong side of the tracks, he is the wrong side of the tracks. A criminal, a thug, and a brawler, he’s the master of bad choices, until one such choice landed him in prison for five years. Now Bax is out and looking for answers, and he doesn’t care what he has to do or who he has to hurt to get them. But there’s a new player in the game, and she’s much too innocent, much too soft…and standing directly in his way.

Dovie Pryce knows all about living a hard life and the tough choices that come with it. She’s always tried to be good, tried to help others, and tried not to let the darkness pull her down. But the streets are fighting back, things have gone from bad to worse, and the only person who can help her is the scariest, sexiest, most complicated ex-con The Point has ever produced.

Bax terrifies her, but it doesn’t take Dovie long to realize that some boys are just better when they’re bad.

REVIEW
Jay Crownover has created a brand new series that is going to have every good girl hot for a bad boy. Crownover's bad boy - Bax - is a real bad boy, an anti-hero, a boy who grew up too fast, a man who wants revenge. From the very moment when he gets out of prison, he maintains the singular focus of uncovering just why he was put away and who he needed to take his revenge out on.

Then along comes Dovie. Bax falls for the sweet, innocent Dovie as he watches over her, knowing she's in harm's way because of whatever surrounds him and Race, his best friend and her brother. Their relationship is masterfully woven into the overall suspense and power struggle in the Point where they both live, both understand what it means to be from the Point, and both understand just how difficult a relationship between the two of them would be.

Crownover builds the story, slowly giving the details as Bax uncovers the truth and finds his brand of HEA with Dovie. In audiobook, the narrator gives a spot-on performance in relaying the emotion and the danger. I'm so glad I listened to this on audio because I didn't want to put it down once I started. Instead, I popped in my ear buds and listened while I cooked and while I weeded the garden.

Crownover stepped it up with Better When He’s Bad. From the intensity of their world to the angst between the characters, this book takes readers into a world where it just might be good to be bad.

Audiobook #REVIEW: Finding Shelter @Dreamspinners @MjOsheaSeattle

Finding Shelter (Rock Bay #3) by M.J. O'Shea

Justin Foster has nineteen years of nothing but trouble behind him. After escaping his abusive father, he finds himself in Rock Bay, Washington, with his cousin Travis. Justin is bruised and has a hard time trusting, but with the help of his family and the small town, he might be able to heal.

Logan O’Brien is also new in town, hoping he can finally get away from his past and the memories of the girlfriend who shattered his heart. It doesn’t take him long to realize Rock Bay can be more than safe harbor: it can also be home. And for the first time in his life, he finds himself captivated by a man—by Justin.

Justin is attracted to Logan too, but he’s also wary. Physically, Logan reminds him a bit too much of the closeted jerks who used to beat him up after school. But after one awkwardly amazing kiss, he’s smitten, despite how his past and insecurities continue to haunt him. Logan’s love, faith, and stubbornness are just what Justin needs to believe their love is worth fighting for.

REVIEW
This is the third book in the Rock Bay series and I've listened to each one on audio. The stories of the men and their friends have each been sweet and written in O'Shea's tender telling. The narrator was a good choice to convey the emotions packed into the stories. The setting which includes a full community of characters creates a place you want to return... for more books. I couldn't help but connect with the characters, especially these two men. Logan has been a secondary character since book one, and it was wonderful to see him find his HEA. Justin, though just introduced to us, melded right into the group of friends that I now feel I know - and like.

This book -heck, the entire series- is a good read for the lighter, sweeter summer months.

Running Wild by @authorSEJakes @RiptideBooks #TOUR #ULTIMATEINDULGENCE #REVIEW

Thanks so much to Guilty Indulgence for hosting me on the tour for Running Wild: Havoc Book 1. This is the start of a brand new series, with different heroes for each book and HEAs at the end of each book. Sean Rush and Ryker stole my heart a long time ago, and I’m excited for you guys to meet all of them.

***

Here's a snippet from a scene toward the middle of the book. Ryker has just proved to Sean that he doesn't mind his MC knowing they're together -- by kissing the hell out of him in front of everyone. And then he tells Sean to get on the back of his bike, so he can take Sean home. Sean has objections...

***

Still, I kept my voice down so no one could hear when I told him, “I’m not riding in the bitch seat.”

He was trying not to grin, but failing. “Why not?”

“I know exactly what it means when you ride on the back of a guy’s bike.”

“Really?”

“It means you fucking own me, Ryker.”

“Don’t I?”

His words were a low rumble that shot straight to my dick and holy fuck . . . I had no answer. Well, obviously I did, but I refused to put voice to it.

I was out—that wasn’t the issue. And obviously being out wasn’t an issue for him either. But the MC shit, we’d never talked about it, what it meant for us. All these men knew about our relationship, knew he was looking out for me. Knew he considered me his.

I swear I had to remind myself to breathe.

“Get on the bike, Sean.”

This time, Ryker’s tone left no room for argument. If anything, it made me harder. I stopped thinking—par for the course when I was around Ryker—and I got on the bike behind him.

RUNNING WILD: Havoc Book 1

Embrace the danger…

Sean Rush is an adrenaline junkie. That’s why he was in the Army, why he steals and races classic muscle cars . . . and why he can’t stay away from bad boy Ryker, a Havoc Motorcycle Club lieutenant. Fortunately, Ryker can’t seem to stay away from Sean—he’s spent the last eight months breaking into Sean’s apartment and stealing into his bed, leaving Sean physically satisfied but increasingly restless.

Sean has always avoided relationships. He likes to come and go without being controlled. And Ryker is possibly the most controlling man he’s ever known. Still, he finds that he wants more from Ryker than their silent nighttime encounters.

Then one of Sean’s thefts goes bad, and Ryker’s protective instincts kick into overdrive. He takes Sean to the Havoc compound, determined to keep him safe. But Sean’s past threatens the safety of Havoc—and everything Ryker holds dear. Worse, Ryker’s hiding secrets of his own. Soon it’s obvious that the adrenaline rush can’t keep them together anymore. But maybe love can.

FYI, I’m also writing a m/f MC series under the Steph Tyler name—the first book of that series, Vipers Run is out now as well. And there’s a very light crossover in that you’ll see names of MCs that are main characters in my Vipers series—namely Vipers MC, along with the Heathens. Havoc’s friendly with Vipers, not so much with Heathens (they seem to be everyone’s enemy at the moment).

REVIEW:
Motorcycles, hot muscle cars and hotter men, what's not to love about this book?

I have to admit I kind of thought Ryker was a creeper at first. I mean if you go by what Sean tells you, then he kind of is, but the further I got into the story the more I fell for the tough biker guy. They both come with some baggage but Sean really had it rough. And honestly with friends like Noah, he didn't need anymore enemies. I was ready for him to kick Noah to the curb half way through the book. (But I have to say I hope "Stephanie" writes Noah's story, especially if he continues to date Casey's daughter)

I loved all the little ways that Ryker showed Sean that he cared. And hoo buddy when he slammed him into a wall, any wall,  I had to crank the A/C up! Ryker is one of those characters that takes over any scene he is in, and he is very multi-dimensional. We learned something new about him through-out the book.

Lots of interesting secondary characters that I so want to know more about...Sweet, Linc, BFFL-Tug, and of course Casey. The author has done a great job of establishing a strong foundation in which to build this exciting and sexy series.
